The Shadow Self and The Various Ways It Shows Up Within Society.
Let’s Examine The Deeper Meaning of This Dark Side That Lives Within Us All.
“We live under the impression that in order for something to be divine it has to be perfect. We are mistaken. In fact, the exact opposite is true. To be divine is to be whole and to be whole is to be everything: the positive and the negative.—When we take the time to discover our shadow and its gifts we will understand what Jung meant by, “The gold is in the dark.” Each of us needs to find that gold in order to reunite with our sacred self.”—Debbie Ford, The Dark Side of the Light Chasers
What is The Shadow?
Understanding The Shadow is vital because it pierces the membrane of the emotional core and accurately addresses the unconscious parts of The Self—limitations and blockages, which stem from our past. In Jungian psychology The Shadow is well known and represents the aspects of personality that are hidden.
The Shadow is the darkness that conceals our deepest emotions and that fabricate all projected personas that we unconsciously make up in order to repress, push down, or hide parts of ourselves. The Shadow is developed during childhood within the first 7 years of life.
The Shadow is holistic because it leads individuals to discover the totality of who they are. When an individual embraces their Shadow seeking to understand it and develop a relationship with it instead of judging and disowning it, this will lead them to wholeness. They will become more aware of their inner truth, consequently more authentic with themselves, more coherent in brain and heart, and as a result, this process of deep introspection brings an individual to tap into the reservoir of unknown abilities and virtues.
Gradually, through repetition of daily Self Observation, this journey of transmutation brings individuals to be liberated from their personal Maya (illusion), which ties to their unconscious beliefs, emotions and behaviours. To meet and merge with The Shadow leads a person into full integration.
The Shadow Shows Up in Different Ways and is the Source of this Disconnected Worldview
The Shadow is also multi layered, there is The Shadow in oneself. A Shadow side to parental and family dynamics, in religions, in the educational systems, in business and corporations in the agriculture industry, in the medical and the pharmaceutical industries, in the fossil fuel and electrical power corporations which represses all natural sciences of free energy technology and ecological technology. We see it in the military forces, and lastly, in the world’s political and governing structures which holds some dark secrets and wrong doings, in addition to, repressing the aerospace engineering industries in regards to the Truth Embargo and UFO Disclosure
Some of these points are highlighted in Episode 4: Darkness & The Shadow Self: Both Have a Bad Rap Yet Carl Jung Stated: “The Gold is in the Dark.”
This Soul-Work is the golden key. It’s the missing link to create a more balanced and holistic society—one of caliber, coherence and harmony. There is so much to learn about ourselves through The Shadow of both our personal and our collective Hero’s Journey.
“People say that what we’re all seeking a meaning for life… I think that what we’re all really seeking is an experience of being alive,—so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonance within our innermost being and reality, so that we can actually feel the rapture of being alive.”—Joseph Campbell
